We are looking for a Senior Java Developer for a remote project in Brazil.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Java development, including expertise in Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, microservices architecture, and design patterns.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with front‑end technologies (React.js or Angular) is a strong plus.
• Experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Solid grasp of security best practices related to APIs and data privacy.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and a commitment to driving Agile practices.
• Comfortable with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, IaC, Git‑flow, and deployment patterns.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and proactive approach to challenges.
• Proficiency in English is a must.

Role and Key Accountabilities

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to ensure alignment with business requirements and deliverable timelines.
• Prioritize and facilitate early resolution of client issues, ensuring adherence to agreed SLA.
• Conduct code reviews, contribute to feature designs, and maintain overall quality of team deliverables.
• Flag technical debt and areas for improvement, ensuring proper documentation and prioritization.
• Implement a robust documentation system for knowledge base, onboarding, knowledge transfer, and communication.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devise solutions.
• Follow Agile Scrum development process for application development.
