Overall Purpose of Role

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer specialising in React with 5+ years of professional experience. You will take ownership of designing and delivering scalable, maintainable, and performant front-end applications. Beyond coding, you’ll set best practices, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with design, product, and back‑end teams to deliver seamless experiences.

Skills and Competencies – Must haves

• Expert in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Deep expertise with React (hooks, context, state management, component architecture, performance optimisation).
• Strong knowledge of CSS and responsive design principles.
• Proficient in accessibility (WCAG standards) and cross-browser compatibility.
• Testing experience: unit, integration, and end‑to‑end.

Optional positives

• Experience with Mantine UI library.
• Experience with Zustand for state management.
• Familiarity with React Query and Axios.

Qualifications and Experience

• 8+ years of professional front-end development experience, with at least 5 years focused on React in large-scale applications.
• Track record of building and deploying production‑grade React applications.
• Experience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering culture.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).

E£1,000,000 - E£1,500,000 a year

12pm to 8:30pm Mon-Fri (GMT).

15 days holiday per year.

You work as a contractor and are responsible for your own tax.

You need a min 20 MB broadband line, and your own PC/Laptop and headset.
