A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Directly contributes to the attainment of financial and operational goals within the business unit or region in support of the company's overall financial and strategic objectives.
  • Establishes budgets, short and long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success.
  • Ensures sales strategies are aligned to Business Unit strategies and that support to the field is in place.
  • Oversees new product / market introductions, sales training programs, key surgeons / key account visit and attendance at key industry congresses and meetings.
  • Provides strategy and direction for ongoing business development, implementation of marketing plans, development of sales and market development objectives and tools, and growth of the business for the region.
  • Maintains long-range sales and marketing plans.
People Management Functional Career Stream

Management and supervisory professionals with one or more employees who are focused on tactical, operational and some strategic activities within a specified area.

Levels within the management career stream typically have six or more direct reports.

The majority of time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing performance, developing talent, engagement and inclusion, communicating business and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of direct reports.

Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and / or indirect reports.

which includes : accountability for mentoring, developing and coaching staff on meeting / exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives, providing leadership to staff ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performance goals and targets, conducting performance reviews, and staff 1 : 1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts and manage toward departmental goals.

Qualifications - External

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of selling large medical capital with a minimum of 3 years of leading high performance medical technology sales teams in a capital environment; Knowledge about Robotics Market is a Must.
  • Skilled in complex, cross functional negotiations with health systems, academic medical centers
  • English advanced and Spanish professional level.

  • Proven success recruiting top talent, converting cultural expectations into results and developing direct reports
  • Expert in analyzing and communicating the ROI of clinical, operational and economic factors related to the business of surgery
  • Proven track record of developing strategic business plans and converting strategy into lead / lag measures of success for your team to execute
  • Executive level communication and presentation skills
  • Transferable examples of your ability to problem solve, overcome barriers, generate belief and persist to achieve your goals
  • Advanced Degree in business or other advanced area of study
