Role Overview :

We're looking for a creative and organized Podcast Production Assistant to support our production team with various aspects of podcast creation. This role will be instrumental in the entire production process, from pre-production through post-production, and will also require expertise in email writing to promote episodes, coordinate with guests, and keep our audience engaged. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about storytelling, health and wellness, and digital media.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with the day-to-day production of the Sofia Unfiltered podcast, including scheduling, script assistance, and audio / video editing support
• Coordinate guest outreach, scheduling, and follow-ups to ensure a smooth guest experience
• Draft show notes, guest bios, and key talking points for the host
• Upload episodes, titles, descriptions, and assets to Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and hosting platforms
• Track episode releases, metrics, and guest promotion deliverables
• Maintain podcast calendar and content pipeline
• Research new guests that align with our mission and audience
• Organize clips for promotion or pass timestamps to our editor
• Ensure guest intake forms and promotional materials are received
• Coordinating with internal teams to share content and updates
• Assist with research, including background on guests and trending wellness topics
• Support social media promotion of podcast episodes
• Manage episode timelines, deadlines, and organization within our content calendar

Qualifications :

• Strong writing skills, with experience in email marketing or professional email communications
• Background in media, communications, journalism, or related field preferred
• Experience with podcast production, audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity), or video editing tools is a plus
• Knowledge of health and wellness topics and trends is a bonus
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
• Enthusiasm for storytelling and podcasting, with a creative mindset
