Overview

What skill sets are we looking for?

Responsibilities

Origination of Sugar :

  • Develop and maintain a strong sourcing network with Brazilian sugar millers and trade houses to ensure a consistent supply of Raw sugar and White sugar.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and quality standards related to Brazilian sugar to identify favourable buying opportunities.
  • Negotiate and finalize purchase contracts, ensuring competitive pricing, optimal terms, and adherence to quality requirements.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on suppliers, including financial stability, production capacity, and compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of Sugar Futures, options and derivatives and hedging is must for risk management.

Trade Execution :

  • Oversee the end-to-end trading process, from contract execution to delivery, ensuring smooth and timely operations.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to manage all export documentation, shipping arrangements, and local logistics, including transport and storage.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks associated with price fluctuations, quality control, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers and customers to address any issues, resolve disputes, and build strong relationships.

Business Development :

  • Identify new market opportunities and potential customers to expand the company-s presence in the sugar trading industry.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends to adapt trading strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective marketing and sales strategies to promote Brazilian sugar products.
  • Drive high scalability and sustainable business growth, optimizing trading volumes and profitability.
