As the Finance Director, Brazil for Roche you will act as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and the Leadership Team, ensuring the financial sustainability and profitable growth of the Brazil affiliate. This senior role is responsible for driving P&L management, leading commercial financial strategy for key accounts, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture, and spearheading digital transformation and data-driven decision‑making. The incumbent also plays a critical role in regional (LATAM) and global squads and acts as a proxy for the General Manager, when required.
Serve as the Executive Proxy for the General Manager during absences, ensuring business continuity and strategic alignment. Lead the long‑term Business Planning process and define financial roadmaps. Drive high‑value growth by leading financial preparation for Merger & Integration and actively engaging customer C‑levels in Key Account Negotiation to secure complex deals.
Responsible for defining financial roadmaps that align with global/regional goals and partnering with commercial teams to leverage financial solutions and secure complex, high‑value deals.
Oversee the country P&L to deliver sustainable results, targeting Sales growth and Operating Profit margin expansion. Manage working capital to meet Cash Flow targets (DSO/Cash X) and ensure full compliance with internal controls (ICFR).
Lead strategic preparation for Tax Reforms, optimizing tax benefits and VAT credit structures to protect margins.
Act as the legal representative for entities in Brazil, ensuring full compliance with local laws and regulations, and serve as an official member of the Compliance committee for Risk Management.
Accountable for building and sustaining an effective and high performing team, ensuring opportunities for their growth and development while contributing to a strong LatAm leadership pipeline.
Lead Commercial Excellence by enhancing proposal governance through data dashboards, acting as the Commercial Network Lead and focal point for major customers driving value creation strategies, and co‑driving LATAM‑wide Squads with regional financial projects.
Spearhead Digital Transformation by leading the adoption of advanced analytics and dashboards to support real‑time decision‑making, overseeing system implementation (including CRM adoption), driving AI literacy and upskilling across teams, and deploying profitability mindset programs to instill margin ownership across non‑finance functions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related fields, with a professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience. An MA/MBA is preferred.
Mandatory fluency in English, Portuguese and/or Spanish.
15+ years of experience in Commercial Finance/Controlling, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large teams.
Extensive experience operating effectively within a highly matrixed, global organization.
Experience leading organizational transformations and Change Management.
Proven track record of delivering above‑market sales growth and operating profit expansion.
Strong ability to influence external stakeholders (Customer CFOs) and internal regional/global peers.
Ability to demonstrate Strategic Agility, seamlessly switching between operational finance (ICFR, Tax) and strategic vision (Mergers, Business Planning).
Experience managing high‑performing teams with a focus on succession planning and DE&I.
Reporting Structure: The role reports solid‑line to the General Manager (Brazil) and dotted‑line to the Regional CFO (Latam). This position will be based in São Paulo/BR.
