Job Description

The Consumer Products Associate will support the development and management categories in the Brazilian market. This role is responsible for strengthening relationships with licensees, supporting product launch planning, analyzing royalty reports, and identifying new business opportunities. The position requires close collaboration with internal regional and global teams, as well as external partners, to achieve royalty growth, category expansion, and reinforce Mattel's brand presence in the market.

What Your Impact Will Be
  • Act as category lead for assigned partners in the region
  • Research, identify and pitch category/brand opportunities to current & prospective clients
  • Secure new deals and negotiate renewals
  • Analyze royalty reports, performance indicators, and market trends, providing insights and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Partner with licensees to ensure the execution of marketing and trade plans, enhancing brand visibility in events and retail channels.
  • Negotiate deal terms and submit for legal drafting ensuring all relevant approvals have been gathered and all information required is present and correct
  • Liaise with the legal team and licensee on contract drafting
  • Work closely with the Product Development, Creative and Quality & Assurance teams
  • Work closely with Marketing, Digital, PR, teams to develop joint business plans
  • Attend fairs or category-specific shows
  • Support the management of the Hardlines – FMCG and HBA category, ensuring alignment with Mattel’s brand strategies.
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree Marketing or Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or Bachelor's Degree related fields
  • +2 years in commercial areas, preferably in licensing, consumer goods, retail, or FMCG.
  • Previous experience in client/account relationship management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in licensing is a plus.
  • Languages: Advanced English, and fluentin Spanish is a plus.
  • Office Suite: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (intermediate/advanced).
  • Stron analytical skills to interpret financial and sales reports (royalties, revenue).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly proactive, organized, and results-driven.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
