Lead the day-to-day site execution of substation projects (GIS/AIS) including installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Supervise and coordinate site engineers, foremen, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure work is executed in accordance with project specifications and schedules.
Review and interpret electrical drawings, protection schemes, and control philosophies to guide installation and testing activities.
Ensure all electrical works are carried out in compliance with applicable standards (IEC/IEEE), project requirements, and safety regulations.
Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Coordinate with engineering teams, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical queries and align execution with design intent.
Oversee the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and tools required for electrical scope, ensuring availability per project timelines.
Manage and verify the execution of primary and secondary equipment installation (e.g., transformers, switchgear, control panels, busbars, protection relays, etc.).
Ensure proper implementation of safety and quality procedures during all stages of construction, testing, and commissioning.t.
Liaise with local authorities and utilities to ensure regulatory compliance and support inspections or approvals.
Prepare technical and progress reports, test documentation, and as-built drawings for submission to clients.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to junior engineers and technicians on site.
Support the Project Manager in resource planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting activities.
Lead resolution of technical challenges and on-site conflicts promptly and professionally.
