BlackStone eIT is looking for a talented DBA Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing our database environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. You will work closely with various teams to understand their data requirements, optimize database systems, and implement best practices in database management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain database systems, ensuring they are configured for performance and reliability.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Implement robust backup and recovery procedures to safeguard against data loss.
  • Enforce security measures to protect databases from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and improve application performance.
  • Execute database changes, including migrations, upgrades, and patches, while minimizing downtime.
  • Document database configurations, scripts, and procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated on the latest database technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Education & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
Technical Skills
  • Strong skills in database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions, including the use of database recovery tools.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Proficient in SQL and experience with PL/SQL or T‑SQL.
  • Understanding of database clustering and high availability configurations.
