Your day-to-day

If you're eager to explore new opportunities and grow your career within the IHG Family, we invite you to join our Engineering team as a Kitchen & Laundry Technician. You will be responsible for maintaining all kitchen and laundry equipment, ensuring smooth operations and safety standards are met.

• Handle engineering repair and maintenance supplies, spare parts, machines, and equipment properly.
• Plan and implement maintenance schedules for kitchens, laundry, and other areas to prevent breakdowns.
• Act promptly to resolve repairs and breakdowns.
• Ensure all kitchen and laundry equipment are well-maintained and operational.
• Coordinate with Maintenance or Duty Engineers regarding work schedules and instructions.
• Follow all operational procedures under supervision.
• Submit necessary reports as required.
• Communicate courteously with concerned departments before commencing work.
• Maintain availability of spare parts and materials.
• Report abnormalities immediately and take necessary actions.
• Ensure property and equipment are maintained safely and efficiently.
• Participate in the hotel's Energy Conservation Program.
• Ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
• Maintain positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to guest requests and requirements.
• Adhere to the hotel's rules, regulations, and safety policies.
• Promote professionalism, courtesy, and high social skills.
• Foster good inter-departmental relations.
• Maintain a pleasant manner and positive attitude, representing the hotel well.
• Display pride in personal appearance and workplace commitment.

What we need from you

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in hospitality, preferably in a hotel with multiple restaurants. You should be a team player, flexible, outgoing, and passionate about service excellence, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
