Job summary

Job description
JOB SCOPE
  • Executes all safety checks prior to performances as per daily checklists
  • Ensures performance areas are clean and clear daily as per schedules
  • Sets up and operates all stage equipment required for the successful completion of shows and events
  • Reports any issues with equipment immediately to management
  • Operates flying winches during performances as needed
  • Drives lifts in order to clean and maintain equipment as needed
  • Works at heights when necessary while observing all safety measures
  • Attends necessary trainings in order to safely operate winches and drive lifts
  • Prepares pre-sets for shows as per schedules
  • Assists with rehearsals and trainings as requested by management
  • Moves and rearranges set pieces before, after, and during performances
  • Communicates with show caller and other Stagehands utilizing communications system provided by management
  • Follows instructions and reacts quickly to emergency situation during, prior and after performances
  • Paints and maintains set pieces and equipment, as needed
  • Ensures props are affixed properly
  • Cleans stage and backstage area after performance and as requested by management
  • Ensures that the work area remains debris free, and that a clear and safe working environment is maintained
  • Supports the organization of storage areas as requested by management
  • Provides assistance during special and seasonal events in the parks as needed
  • Supports other shows/events in the department and parks are requested, including but not limited to park opening and other ceremonies, corporate, seasonal and marketing events
  • Performs other duties as directed
