Job summary
A leading construction firm in Dubai is looking for a QA/QC Engineer to ensure compliance with project specifications for mechanical works. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 8-10 years of experience in MEP projects. Strong knowledge of international standards and ISO 9001 is essential. Candidates should possess excellent communication and coordination skills along with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with AutoCAD.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8-10 years of QA/QC experience in MEP projects (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC.
- Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

- Review project specifications, drawings, and standards for compliance.
- Prepare and implement Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans.
- Conduct inspections of mechanical systems like HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing.

Responsible for ensuring that all mechanical works (HVAC Plumbing Firefighting LPG etc.) are executed in compliance with project specifications international standards and quality requirements. Acts as the focal point for quality assurance and quality control activities for mechanical works on site.
Review project specifications drawings and applicable standards to ensure compliance.
Prepare and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCP) Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Method Statements for mechanical works.
Conduct inspections for installation testing and commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC Firefighting Plumbing LPG etc.).
Coordinate with consultants clients and third-party inspectors for inspections and approvals.
Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to quality requirements and report non-conformances (NCRs).
Verify materials and equipment delivered to site meet approved material submittals.
Maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports checklists calibration certificates and test records.
Follow up and close non-conformances preventive and corrective actions.
Support project handover by preparing final QA/QC dossiers and as-built documentation.
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations during inspections.
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 8-10years of QA/QC experience in MEP projects (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of international standards (ASHRAE NFPA SMACNA IPC etc.).
Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Strong communication and coordination skills with consultants and clients.
Ability to prepare QA/QC documentation and reports independently.
Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
