A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be actively working in the mechanical engineering team and collaborate with the rest of the department to execute Fields of Action (FoA) co-creation projects.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Design, analysis, and modelling from concept definition through detailed design.
• Active participation in test setup and test operation.
• Provide necessary engineering to support design and manufacture of testing configurations.
• Evaluation/reduction of test results, communication of results to broader project team(s).
• Actively contribute to focused project teams to support technology and product development project objectives.
• Foster a collaborative work ethic within the team and the ICA.
• Effectively communicate with multiple functional groups (Business Areas, Global Innovation Centers, Customers).

What You Bring

• University degree in mechanical engineering or similar field (Master / Diploma) or comparable qualification.
• 5+ years of work experience in the field of mechanical engineering or related.
• Must have foundational knowledge and experience of aerodynamics, thermodynamics/heat transfer, rotor dynamics, materials.
• Experience of co-creation with customers or similar.
• Driver for quick results and follow through across teams.
• Very good English language skills.

Decarbonized Heat & Industrial Processes specifically focuses on both Heat and Industrial Emissions. We aim to help our industrial customers produce heat as efficiently and environmentally friendly as possible, reducing their emissions at the same time. Industrial heat pumps and smart, integrated digital tools are examples of the products we develop.

Power-to-X is a vital lever to decarbonize all sectors through bringing renewable energy from the power sector to other sectors and by this decarbonize mobility, heat, industry, and power generation. Power-to-X builds on our strengths in the power business and explores new fields in the chemical and gases business, where building an eco-system of partners is key.

The Innovation Center Abu Dhabi is a new department embedded in the Global Function Innovation.
