We are hiring for multiple positions for our real estate client based in Sharjah, UAE.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site bilingual Senior Accountant & Chief Accountant role located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Accountant & Chief Accountant will be responsible for keeping financial records organized, including tracking of receivables, PDC's, cheque returns, advances, payables, vendor, cash & bank reconciliation ensuring each account is reconciled accurately.

• Requirements
• Chief Accountant 8+ years of experience
• Proficiency in accounting software Quickbook, Zoho, Oddoo etc. and MS Excel
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance
• CPA, CMA, ACCA or other equivalent certification is a plus
• Experience in a real estate management company

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare various general ledger entries for month-end close
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
• Preparation of documentation for external and internal auditors to assist in year-end audit procedures
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth month-end close
• Assist in accounting analysis and ad hoc projects, as needed
• Ensure compliance with internal controls
• Support Financial Reporting Seniors in identifying process improvement opportunities
• Provide cross-functional assistance toexternal financial reporting
• Originate and process journal entries
• Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and statements
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
