Job summary

A leading industrial automation firm in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a skilled Control System Engineer to provide technical expertise for control systems within the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a background in DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems, with at least 7–10 years of experience. Responsibilities include managing system upgrades, conducting vendor evaluations, and supporting system testing and integration. Qualifications

  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in control and automation systems within the oil & gas industry.
  • Proven experience in DCS/PLC/SCADA system upgrades and migrations.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in feasibility studies and detailed design reviews.
  • Develop Scope of Work (SOW) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages.
  • Conduct technical evaluation of vendor bids and recommend compliant solutions.

Skills

Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, Profibus)
Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering
