Job description

The Trust is a collective of energetic writers, content and creative strategists, videographers, designers, photo editors, and developers. The work spans a variety of formats, including short- and long-form reported articles, documentary videos, interactive data visualizations, animations, and more.

The Trust is looking to hire a Creative Director and Strategist based in the Middle East. You will report to the Executive Director, Content.

We seek a talented and versatile individual with a strong understanding of the Middle East and the broader international marketing landscape, especially the U.S. The role requires a strategic thinker to ideate, pitch, and produce world-class custom content campaigns for clients in the Middle East that resonate with The Wall Street Journal’s global audience of decision-makers. You will lead creative vision and content development across formats for regional and international clients, collaborating with the Executive Director of Content, creatives across EMEA and APAC, and the Integrated Marketing team to understand client needs and craft sophisticated campaigns that deliver results.

This position demands a dynamic, self-starting professional capable of working seamlessly with sales teams, understanding campaign pricing and construction, and assessing the feasibility of pitched programs. A strong network of contacts in the Middle East is advantageous.

Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken forms are essential—able to convey ideas clearly and compellingly through concepts and visuals. You should be comfortable delivering C-Level presentations across diverse regions and cultures. Fluency in spoken and written Arabic is a significant advantage.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of proven success in at least two of the following areas: journalism, creative direction, marketing and/or brand strategy, film & audio, or custom content. Knowledge of agency and client landscapes in the region is a plus. The role involves high-level client engagement and international travel, sometimes on short notice.

Benefits include comprehensive healthcare plans, paid time off, and retirement plans.
