An esteemed international educational institution in Dubai is looking for dedicated PYP Early Years practitioners to inspire a love of learning and create an engaging, multicultural classroom environment. Candidates should have a strong foundation in effective teaching and a commitment to the IB philosophy. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience and the opportunity offers an excellent remuneration package, including tax-free salary, accommodation, and professional development opportunities. Available positions starting August 2026.
GEMS World Academy–Dubai (GWA) is a private, co-educational IB World School for PreK to Grade 12 students, established in 2008 as part of GEMS Education. Authorised to deliver the PYP, MYP, DP and CP programmes, GWA is also accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
Located in the heart of Dubai, we serve a diverse international community. Our ethos is rooted in the IB Learner Profile — encouraging intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong sense of community. GWA is recognised nationally and internationally for improving student outcomes and for its inclusive, aspirational vision.
We are committed to developing inquiring, reflective and caring learners. Supported by highly qualified staff and world-class facilities, our students gain the knowledge, skills and character to thrive, make positive contributions, and shape a better world.
Our Early Years department has transformed student outcomes and succeeded in inspiring a love of learning at GEMS World Academy. This has been achieved through the dedication of staff, their exceptional subject knowledge, and the department’s forward-thinking approach to data and the curriculum. The Early Years department is highly regarded among our student body for the care and personal support offered to students.
We welcome expressions of interest from passionate PYP Early Years practitioners who believe their skills, experience, and values align with GEMS World Academy’s commitment to inspiring a love of learning, with opportunities available from August 2026.
The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in effective teaching and helping students succeed. While experience in teaching the IB Primary Years Programmes (PYP) is preferred, outstanding teachers from any curriculum background are encouraged to apply. Alignment with the IB philosophy and commitment to the Learner Profile values are crucial. A genuine passion for working in a non-selective and culturally diverse community is also a key requirement. Additionally, the candidate should possess:
An excellent remuneration package is available for successful candidates including a competitive tax free salary, furnished accommodation, premium medical insurance and life insurance, working permit and residence visa, annual flight allowance, tuition fee concession, and other benefits in line with the UAE Labour Law. In addition to these, we offer:
If you are keen to be considered for opportunities within our schools from August 2026, we encourage you to submit your expression of interest. Shortlisted candidates will first be invited to an initial call. Interviews will then be held in November 2025, both in person and online, for opportunities beginning August 2026.
Details of date and location will be shared with candidates upon successful invitation. Please note, this is a closed event and attendance is by invitation only.
