Job summary
A leading database solutions provider is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage Oracle 12c and 19c databases in large-scale production environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and supporting Oracle RAC clusters, performing backup and recovery operations, and optimizing complex SQL and PL/SQL code. Expertise in Data Guard for disaster recovery and strong documentation skills are essential for this role in Dubai, UAE.
Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle 12c and 19c databases in production environments.
- Proficient in database backup and recovery operations.
- Ability to optimize SQL and PL/SQL code.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage Oracle databases in production.
- Install and support Oracle RAC clusters.
- Set up and troubleshoot Data Guard for disaster recovery.

- Administer and manage Oracle 12c and 19c databases in large-scale production environments.
- Install configure and support Oracle RAC clusters Grid Infrastructure and ASM storage.
- Perform database backup and recovery operations using RMAN and Tivoli TSM.
- Set up maintain and troubleshoot Data Guard and Active Data Guard for disaster recovery.
- Manage database partitioning tablespaces indexing and materialized views.
- Monitor and tune database performance using AWR ASH OEM and other tools.
- Write optimize and troubleshoot complex SQL and PL/SQL code.
- Automate DBA tasks using shell scripting and manage scheduled jobs.
- Configure and administer Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for centralized monitoring.
- Clone databases and manage exports/imports for testing and development.
- Design and implement partitioning strategies and manage data lifecycle.
- Support GoldenGate replication and cross-platform database environments (SQL Server IBM DB2).
- Provide documentation communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities in a team or independently.
