BSF Farm Technician - Research, Rearing & Optimization
Job summary
A leading agricultural company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a highly experienced BSF Farm Technician to oversee operations in BSF production. Candidates should have at least 4 years of relevant experience in insect rearing or entomology research. The ideal candidate will develop protocols for optimal BSF health and efficiency, and supervise junior technicians. This is an exciting opportunity to work in innovative agricultural practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Black Soldier Fly farming or insect rearing.
- Strong understanding of insect biology and farm-level bioconversion systems.
- Experience in tropical or sub-Saharan climates is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute daily operations of the BSF production unit.
- Monitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions for BSF life cycle.
- Analyze production data and prepare reports to improve yields.
