Job Description

The Architectural Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. We seek a highly qualified candidate with the following credentials:

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
2. A Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis on one or more of the following areas:
1. Building Technology
2. Building Construction
3. Advanced Digital Engineering
4. Information and Communication Technologies (e.g., BIM, Digital Twins, VR)
5. Building Performance and Simulation
6. Building Science
7. Construction Management
3. A proven ability to teach integrated design studios and related subjects at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will:

1. Teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in areas related to Architectural Engineering, including basic, advanced, and integrated design studios.
2. Contribute to curriculum development and innovation in teaching methods.
3. Maintain an active research agenda with publications in top-tier journals.
4. Secure competitive research funding.
5. Engage in professional service activities and contribute to the department’s development.
6. Foster an inclusive academic environment and contribute to the diversity and excellence of the university community.

Minimum Qualification:

1. Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering or a closely related field from an internationally recognized institution.
2. Strong research credentials with a record of publications in leading scientific journals.
3. Proficiency in English, the medium of instruction at UAEU.
4. Recent Ph.D. graduates are encouraged to apply; preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience or professional practice.
