Sales & Application Engineer
Job summary
A leading automotive company in the UAE is seeking a professional to support their sales team, focusing on HVAC products. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in engineering and have 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales support. Responsibilities include preparing quotations, maintaining customer relationships, and providing regular sales reports. Proficiency in Microsoft tools and knowledge of HVAC standards are essential. Excellent communication skills in English are required for successful interactions with clients.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience supporting sales engineers on HVAC products.
- Strong knowledge of engineering and construction industry practices in the region.
- Familiarity with International Air conditioning Standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations based on specifications and BOQ.
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers.
- Monitor outstanding debts and ensure timely collection.
- Provide sales reports to the sales manager.
- Coordinate after-sales service with clients and contractors.

To help sales team promote sales and exploit the market for assigned segment of business and contribute in meeting the segments' objective, as well as maximizing sales, revenue & profitability.
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
- Selection, pricing and preparing quotations as per specification and BOQ received, for assigned products.
- Correspond with principals for technical clarifications, compliance, submittals, and Prequalification.
- Regularly visit the existing as well as prospective customer to establish/maintain healthy and profitable relationship and to find out their present and future demand to be able to meet them in time.
- Promoting Company products, brand awareness, with consultants, partners, sub-dealers, through presentations, training, and maintaining business relations.
- Regularly monitor the outstanding debt statement and follow up to ensure collection of the credit in time and in full to avoid loss of money or litigation.
- Regular update of Quotation, orders on CRM for forecast and planning.
- Providing Weekly, Monthly Sales Reports to Sales manager.
- After order coordination like, Release of Sales order, order acknowledgment to client, delivery coordination between contractor & OEMs and, site visit, Warranty Aftersales coordination and documentation.
Education/Certification and Continued Education
- Degree in relevant branch of Engineering or equivalent Technical qualification.
Years of Experience
- 3-5 year of experience on Application Role to support Sales engineers on HVAC products.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Excel, MS Power Point, Word. AutoCAD, Carrier HAP design Software.
- Strong understanding and work exposure in engineering and construction industry within the region.
- Familiar with International Air conditioning Standards such as AHRI, ISO, Euro vent, ESMA.
- In depth Knowledge of Psychometric, PH Diagram, HVAC Selection Software.
Additional Requirements
- Good Interpersonal Skills.
- Excellent communication Skills (Presentation, negotiation, and influencing) in both spoken and written English.
