As a Vascular Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating patients suffering from a wide range of vascular conditions. Your expertise will allow you to conduct both open and minimally invasive surgical procedures, contributing significantly to patient recovery and overall vascular health.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with vascular diseases, using appropriate medical and surgical techniques
  • Perform a variety of complex vascular surgeries including bypass procedures, endarterectomy, and stent placements
  • Collaborate with other specialists to develop comprehensive care plans for patients
  • Monitor patients preoperatively and postoperatively, ensuring effective recovery and management of complications
  • Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options, empowering them with knowledge for informed decision-making
  • Conduct clinical research to enhance the field of vascular surgery and improve patient outcomes
  • Maintain high standards of surgical practice and adhere to safety protocols
  • Document all patient interactions and surgeries in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of a residency in General Surgery and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery
  • Board certification in Vascular Surgery is mandatory
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the practice of vascular surgery
  • Strong technical skill set, with proficiency in both traditional and minimally invasive surgical techniques
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to develop effective treatment plans
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a focus on patient education and support
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team setting
  • Current and active state medical license to practice
