Our Transport Team is growing in UAE, and we have an opportunity for a Transport Engineer to support and deliver technical solutions within our Civil Infrastructure Team.

What does the role look like?

1. Work collaboratively providing transportation investigation, design, and assessment for clients.
2. Support transportation projects from investigation through design and construction, including civil design management.
3. Act as a proactive extension of our clients' teams, offering technical and operational advice and seeking innovative solutions.
4. Share your ideas and develop your skills within our 'leaders everywhere' approach.
5. Mentor and support less experienced staff in technical skills and workload management.
6. Contribute to GHD projects across urban design and transport planning fields.
7. Assist in preparing bids and proposals for business development.
8. Enhance GHD's profile through high-quality project delivery and business initiatives.

Essential Skills and Experience

The candidate should demonstrate:

• A solid understanding of transport planning and modeling principles.
• Experience with project controls, managing small to medium-sized commissions.
• Ability to manage diverse workloads, contribute to business opportunities, and stay updated on technical developments.
• An innovative approach to problem-solving and client relations.
• Effective teamwork and independent work skills.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to valuable contributions.
• Experience with planning studies, development applications, and analyses.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Cube, Visum, Vissim, SIDRA, Synchro, and HCS (desirable).
• Experience conducting field inspections and working with large datasets in MS Excel.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Understanding of project management techniques and team coordination skills.

Additional Information

• Experience profile: 4 years in transportation engineering and planning.

Qualifications

• Membership in a professional institution (CIHT, ICE, TPS).
• Eligibility for chartership or licensure (preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience with road safety engineering and audits.
