The Heavy Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating heavy-duty vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment across local or long-distance routes. The role demands strict adherence to traffic regulations, safety protocols, and timely delivery schedules. The ideal candidate must be physically fit, reliable, and possess a valid heavy vehicle driving license with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy trucks in compliance with road and traffic regulations.
Load, secure, and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
Perform daily vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
Plan routes and adjust schedules based on traffic or delivery changes.
Ensure cargo is delivered intact and on time.
Follow safety procedures for hazardous or oversized loads.
Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status.
Keep trucks clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
Adhere to all company policies, road safety, and environmental guidelines.
Requirements:
Valid UAE heavy truck driving license (Category 4 or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years of experience driving heavy-duty trucks.
Clean driving record with no major violations.
Ability to handle long-distance or shift driving.
Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle repairs.
Familiarity with GPS systems and local delivery routes.
Physical fitness to load/unload or secure cargo.
