Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Procurement Engineer with experience in civil and steel contracting to manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project, engineering, and site teams to identify procurement requirements for civil, structural steel, MEP, and finishing works.
  • Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and select vendors based on cost, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Review technical drawings and material submittals to ensure alignment with structural and project design requirements.
  • Source and manage procurement of steel sections, rebar, formwork materials, concrete, welding consumables, fasteners, and construction support items.
  • Negotiate payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and after‑sales support with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor supplier performance and coordinate timely deliveries to avoid project delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of POs, supplier contracts, delivery schedules, and inventory status.
  • Liaise with the finance team for PO approvals, invoicing, and cost tracking.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with UAE regulatory standards, site safety, and project documentation requirements.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities through bulk buying, alternative sourcing, and optimized procurement planning.
