We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Procurement Engineer with experience in civil and steel contracting to manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project, engineering, and site teams to identify procurement requirements for civil, structural steel, MEP, and finishing works.
- Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and select vendors based on cost, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
- Review technical drawings and material submittals to ensure alignment with structural and project design requirements.
- Source and manage procurement of steel sections, rebar, formwork materials, concrete, welding consumables, fasteners, and construction support items.
- Negotiate payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and after‑sales support with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor supplier performance and coordinate timely deliveries to avoid project delays.
- Maintain accurate records of POs, supplier contracts, delivery schedules, and inventory status.
- Liaise with the finance team for PO approvals, invoicing, and cost tracking.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with UAE regulatory standards, site safety, and project documentation requirements.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities through bulk buying, alternative sourcing, and optimized procurement planning.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years’ experience in procurement within the civil and/or steel contracting sector in the UAE/GCC.
- Strong knowledge of steel structures, construction materials, and local vendor markets.
- Experience working with procurement software, ERP systems, and technical documentation.
- Strong negotiation, budgeting, and supplier evaluation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with project execution timelines, construction site logistics, and material delivery planning.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOQs.
- Excellent time management, coordination, and documentation skills.
