Overview

We are currently recruiting for PMC Senior Structural Engineer role to support our ADNOC Offshore project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at our client office with a possibility to move to offshore rotation in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

To provide senior-level structural engineering expertise for ADNOC Offshore projects under a PMC scope, ensuring that EPC contractors’ designs comply with project specifications, international codes, ADNOC standards, and HSE requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Engineering & Technical
  • Review and approve structural design deliverables from EPC contractors including:
    • Design basis, calculations, drawings, and specifications
    • Offshore jackets, topsides, bridges, modules, decks, helidecks
    • Onshore/offshore steel structures, pipe racks, foundations
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • ADNOC Engineering Standards
    • International codes (API, AISC, BS, Eurocode, ISO, DNV)
  • Perform independent checks on critical structural calculations when required.
  • Review structural analyses (in-place, transportation, lifting, fatigue, seismic, blast, and accidental loads).
  • Provide technical input for constructability, operability, and maintainability.
PMC / Interface Management
  • Act as PMC focal point for all structural engineering matters.
  • Interface with:
    • Client (ADNOC Offshore)
    • EPC contractors
    • Other disciplines (process, piping, naval, geotechnical, construction)
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, constructability and design review workshops.
Project Support
  • Support project phases:
    • FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation & Commissioning
  • Review and comment on:
    • Vendor documents
    • Fabrication and installation methodologies
    • Lifting plans and transportation analyses
  • Support site activities during fabrication and offshore installation as required.
Quality, HSE & Compliance
  • Ensure all structural designs meet HSE, quality, and ADNOC offshore safety requirements.
  • Participate in audits, technical queries (TQs), and management of change (MOC).
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied.

Expected

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering(Master’s preferred).
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng / PE) is an advantage.
  • 15+ years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Minimum 8–10 years in offshore oil & gas projects.
  • Proven PMC / Consultant experience with EPC contractor oversight.
  • Strong experience with ADNOC Offshore or Middle East offshore projects is highly preferred.
