What You Will Do

The Organizational Activities Interface (OAI)/Technical Support Engineer will provide technical field operational services for the UAE Patriot Technical Assistance program. Responsibilities include advising and assisting with training of Patriot Battalion (BN) and Fire Unit (FU) personnel, assisting with BN/FU operation software initialization (formulating system databases and communication plans), and providing expertise on system software applications (initialization, operation, and training).

You will support tasks ensuring the PATRIOT System is fully operational, including all aspects of the Air Battle at BN and FU levels. You will assist with new equipment training and sustainment training (classroom and practical exercises) covering software (PDBs) and hardware (sweeps) update training. You will support UAE military personnel in system refresher operator training to battery and battalion personnel to maintain, improve, and upgrade skills.

During modernization, you will provide technical advice and assist Battery Personnel with operational and tactical procedures associated with the Patriot Missile System. You will conduct operation and management exercises using practice scenarios with the Patriot ECS and ICC. You will participate in On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs and perform other related duties as directed. You will also provide technical instruction and training at the training center using conference and practical exercise methods, including examinations.

This position is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Must have at least four years of experience in the PATRIOT Air Defense System
  • Must have directly related experience in the Patriot Evaluation Section and Patriot Tactical Operations at the Battalion or higher level
  • Demonstrated experience with integrated Battalion and Fire Unit-to-Fire Unit (FU-FU) operations
  • Experience instructing PATRIOT organizational classes in the classroom and on tactical equipment, or Patriot Conduct of Fire Trainer, in areas such as RSOP/Survey, March Order and Emplacement, System Initialization and Mapping, ADM against ABT and TBM, Guided Missile Reload, and ARTEP Battle Drills/Gunnery Tables
  • Knowledge of Brigade/AADCOM level TACSOPs and ability to assist in training organizational level system upgrades
  • Must have completed Patriot Operator and System Mechanic MOS 24T/14E/140E under TRADOC or equivalent instruction

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Working knowledge of PATRIOT integrated battalion and Fire Platoon-to-Fire Platoon operations, including expertise with PATRIOT communication links
  • Demonstrated one year of collective training experience or assignment to a deployed PATRIOT Battalion in CONUS or OCONUS
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associate Degree with 8 years of related experience, or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. This range is a good faith estimate and depends on factors such as experience, location, education, and skills. RTX offers eligible benefits and incentive programs where applicable. This role is U.S.-based; if the candidate resides in a U.S. territory, appropriate pay structure and benefits apply.
