Job description

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team.
• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all facility systems and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and oversee repairs of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repair work for audits and compliance.
• Source and manage contractors and suppliers for specialized repair works.
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets and track expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety, and environmental standards.
• Implement energy-saving and cost-effective maintenance solutions.
• Develop SOPs and ensure all team members are trained on maintenance procedures.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment.
• Prepare reports and present to management regarding maintenance KPIs and issues.
• Lead emergency repair efforts in case of equipment breakdown or facility issues.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 3 years in a managerial / supervisory role in the UAE or GCC.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems repair.
• Certifications (Preferred):

• NEBOSH, IOSH, or relevant maritime industry safety certifications.
