Position

Health & Safety Officer – Landscape

We are looking for a competent and proactive Health & Safety Officer (HSE Officer) to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The candidate must have strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, and experience in ensuring compliance with ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality) and DMT (Department of Municipalities and Transport) safety standards and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies on site.


• Ensure compliance with ADM & DMT safety regulations, guidelines, and inspection procedures.


• Conduct site safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.


• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, and safety reports.


• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses; recommend corrective actions.


• Train site staff and workers on HSE procedures and emergency response plans.


• Monitor the proper use of PPE, equipment, and machinery in compliance with safety standards.


• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and ADM/DMT representatives during HSE inspections.


• Ensure safe execution of landscape, hardscape, civil, and irrigation works.


• Support ISO standards implementation (ISO 45001, ISO 14001) within company operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.


• NEBOSH IGC (mandatory), IOSH or equivalent certifications preferred.


• Minimum 4–7 years of UAE experience in HSE, preferably in landscaping, civil, or infrastructure projects.


• Strong knowledge of ADM & DMT HSE standards and audit procedures.


• Familiarity with UAE Labor Law, OSHAD, and local regulatory frameworks.


• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train multi-national workforces.


• Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.


• Valid UAE Driving License is preferred
