Job description

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is looking for a Concierge Agent to join our Concierge team.

Based at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, within the Concierge Department, the Concierge Agent is responsible for handling guest requests in a friendly and caring manner, including managing messages, mail, and parcels for guests and staff, following hotel procedures and service standards to ensure guest satisfaction. The Concierge Agent reports to the Assistant Chief Concierge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer guest questions and handle requests such as providing information, making reservations, and giving directions, referring requests to relevant staff when necessary.
  • Stay updated on hotel services, local attractions, restaurants, transportation, and other points of interest to assist guests effectively.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, messages, and parcels according to hotel procedures.
  • Store guest luggage securely and handle all luggage with care.
  • Sell stamps for postcards and letters.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the desk area and ensure availability of brochures, magazines, and maps.
  • Send faxes for guests during Business Center closing hours.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel is preferred; resort experience is a plus.
  • Well-groomed with a professional appearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physically agile and able to stand for extended periods.
