Qualifications

  • Valid STCW Certification Reg. III/2 (Second Engineer Officer/COC).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Engineer in the shipping/logistics industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive maintenance planning.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure vessel operations adhere to marine best practices and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to Vessel Masters and Chief Engineers.
  • Plan and oversee safe maintenance and repair operations.
  • Monitor and assess engine performance and systems.
  • Manage fuel ballast and electrical/electronic control equipment.
  • Diagnose and rectify machinery faults promptly.
  • Lead the marine engineering department and maintain all onboard equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, fuel, and oil.
  • Support the reporting manager with assigned tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 45001 Health Safety and Environment policies.

The role involves technical oversight maintenance planning and collaboration with vessel crews to uphold operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure vessel operations adhere to marine best practices company/client procedures and local regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with class statutory and client standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to Vessel Masters and Chief Engineers as needed.
  • Plan and oversee safe maintenance and repair operations.
  • Operate monitor and assess engine performance and systems.
  • Manage fuel ballast and electrical/electronic control equipment.
