Job Purpose
To support the kitchen staff in the food preparation process by assisting with routine and allocated tasks, ensuring efficiency, hygiene, and compliance with standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities
  • Assistant in the food preparation process by completing allocated and routine tasks as instructed.

  • Work within operational standards to ensure the kitchen and food preparation process remain compliant with Company and Municipality guidelines.

  • Arrange for the efficient storage of goods as per set guidelines.

  • Work efficiently to minimize wastage of food and non-food items.

  • Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation in the kitchen at all times.

  • Operate all kitchen equipment and machinery, ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance practices.

  • Carry out additional tasks as instructed by management.

Job Requirements
Education / Certification
  • Certification in Food and Beverage / Catering would be an advantage.

Years of Experience
