Responsibilities

Duties
- Quotations on Vehicles engines and Mines.
- Ability to identify engine parts, evaluate recondition ability and advise on repair.
- Ability to manage a mechanical, engineering and auto electrical workshop, flow line.
- Assist with sourcing of parts
- Manage workshop staff performance
- Assist with diagnosing where necessary
- Liaise with parts suppliers & other Project manager for availability parts
- Handle all queries (parts, orders, invoices, etc)
- General Admin – ISO health and safety Ensure Health and Safety procedure and policies are adhered to
- Assists advise on technical issues regarding vehicles
- Arrange for staff planning as per daily function requirements including but not limited to pick up and delivery of parts and engines to mines.
- Manage and coordinate warranties process or engine builds and quotes to mines.
- Achieve workshop target and report to branch manager.
Requirements
- NQF 4 / N1–N3 with 3–5 years’ mechanic experience with at least 2 of the 5 years managing a Workshop and staff
- Trade Test qualification (Diesel Mechanic – Red Seal)
- Experience with all facets of mechanics where applicable.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics and auto-electrical systems will be advantageous
- Fluent in English & Afrikaans (read, write, speak )
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work afterhours. Able to work under pressure
