Main Objectives
To supervise and manage warehouse staff to ensure effective and efficient stock movement from inbound to outbound.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimise the flow of stock in the warehouse through operational management processes that includes but is not limited to:
- Warehouse utilisation planning
- Process flow management and organisation
- General good housekeeping
- Picking controls
- Stock control and/or rotation
- Pallet control
- Bulk flour tankers – minimise loss and meet customer requirements in line with company processes and procedures.
- Manage, control, and minimise operational costs through the development of a warehouse budget and internal cost management practices in collaboration with the site management team.
- Participate in site continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives as and when required.
- Ensuring compliance and adherence to the requirements of Premier FMCG Safety Standards, Policies, and Procedures through implementation of operational guidelines on good housekeeping practices, daily cleaning processes, and monitoring of operational controls.
- Ongoing maintenance of building and premises as needed, including planned and effective infestation controls with satisfactory internal and external food safety audit results.
- Ensure a safe working environment through compliance with the OHS Act and Premier Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Create a high performing warehouse team through management of staff performance in line with the Premier way, including facilitation of effective Invocoms and coaching and mentoring the warehouse team.
- Proactively manage talent and mitigate succession risks.

Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Matric
- Logistics or Supply Chain Management diploma
- Supervisory management of continuous operations 5 – 7 years (Essential)
- FMCG warehouse management 3 – 5 years (Essential)
- Availability for excessive working hours, including weekends and shifts, as required by the role
- Ability to work in environments exposed to noise and warm temperatures, such as the milling facilities
- Own transportation to commute to work locations or travel as necessary
