Qualifications

• Team Leader / Blasting Assistant Certificate is essential.
• Standard 8 (Grade 10) qualification or higher is required.
• Competent A Certificate is mandatory.
• Proven underground mining experience in shotcrete applications, mesh and lacing, and barring operations.
• Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate underground mining activities to ensure safe efficient operations.
• Lead, motivate, and guide teams to meet daily production and quality targets.
• Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and enforce compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Oversee the correct application of shotcrete, mesh lacing, and barring processes.
• Perform barring operations to ensure workplace stability and safety.
• Carry out workplace inspections and report unsafe conditions or faulty equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and safety incidents.
