Flying Carpet Travel is a pioneering digital destination management and travel fulfilment portal promoted by the founders of AirlinePros International, a leading network of airline and travel sales, distribution, marketing, and allied services.

As part of our Learn & Earn Program, we are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to design intuitive, engaging, and impactful digital experiences for students and travel partners.

The role will focus on designing the student-facing platform where learning modules, earning opportunities, and travel industry engagement converge. The designer will also contribute to the overall portal experience, ensuring accessibility, user satisfaction, and global appeal.

Overview

Key Responsibilities – General

  • Design intuitive user flows for students engaging with Learn & Earn modules, booking tools, and dashboards.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding for students, making the program easy to navigate and visually appealing.
  • Collaborate with the product, content, and tech teams to deliver cohesive experiences.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing with students to refine designs.
  • Create and maintain a design system aligned with Flying Carpet Travel’s brand identity.
  • Ensure responsiveness and accessibility across devices and geographies.
  • Stay current with digital learning, gamification, and travel-tech design trends.

Key Responsibilities – Program specific

  • Create storyboards from modules developed, liaise with the program implementation partners with delivery methods including animation, video, gamification, live, role play, or any other.
  • Support with creating engaging content including but not limited to quizzes and polls, drag-and-drop scenario questions, creation of microlearning nuggets, etc.
  • Design and develop gamification tools like levels, leaderboards, and badges. Ideate competitions and challenges that inspire students.
  • Work closely with the program team to develop adequate scenarios and simulation learning like role-plays, real life case studies come alive, travel fulfilment tools in a trial environment.
  • You will also be responsible to create platforms for social and collaborative learning like discussion forums, peer reviews, live webinars and Q&A sessions.
  • Ideate with module developers and implementors to identify where clickable videos, interactive infographics, hotspots, etc. can be placed for maximum immersion learning.
  • Learning areas to be brought alive with progressive dashboards, personalized feedback on assignments, and simulated interactions as required.
  • Devise methods of continuous engagement like reminders and nudges to keep students on track, rewards and certificates, ideally with imaginative titles like ‘boarding pass’ or ‘frequent flyer miles,’ etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in edtech, travel, or e-commerce platforms.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive frameworks (bonus).
  • Ability to simplify complex workflows into engaging, user-friendly journeys.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with global teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in gamification and digital learning interfaces.
  • Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG, ADA) for diverse student audiences.
  • Familiarity with multilingual design for global scalability.
  • Understanding of micro-interactions and animations to enhance engagement.
