A leading fintech organization in South Africa is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance lead. In this role, you will take ownership of the Quality Assurance roadmap and ensure the resilience of enterprise-wide payment platforms. Your responsibilities include harmonizing testing efforts across legacy frameworks and modern channels while meeting regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of leadership experience in complex environments, with a relevant Information Technology degree and prior fintech experience.

Job description

The core mission of this role is to ensure the absolute resilience and accuracy of enterprise-wide payment platforms. You will move beyond simple defect tracking to owning the entire Quality Assurance roadmap. You will be responsible for harmonizing testing efforts across legacy frameworks and modern digital channels, ensuring that critical regulatory standards (PASA, SARB) are met while driving the adoption of automated testing best practices.

Profile for Success:

• Demonstrated Leadership: Evidence of managing and mentoring testing teams (minimum 5 years) within a corporate or enterprise IT environment.
• Technical Depth: A strong track record of defining test strategies for complex ecosystems involving integration, security, and performance testing.
• Domain Expertise: Prior experience in high-volume transaction environments (Banking, Payments, or Fintech) is essential.
• Education: Must hold a relevant Degree in Information Technology (NQF 7).
