The Role: Technical Coordinator Systems Electric and Electronic

As Technical Coordinator, you will support the yacht systems division by managing the integration of complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems on board luxury yachts. You'll work across hydraulic systems, diesel‑electric and hybrid propulsion, high‑voltage electrics, and onboard control systems. This is a hands‑on, cross‑functional role requiring collaboration with engineers, subcontractors, and production staff to deliver fully compliant, efficient, and cutting‑edge systems that meet the shipyard's standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Minimum 5 years experience in yacht‑building or similar marine environments
  • Collaborate with systems and electrical teams to integrate hydraulic and PLC systems
  • Define electrical loads, switchboard layouts, cable runs, and trunking routes
  • Support the development of high‑voltage DC and hybrid propulsion systems
  • Review supplier schematics and coordinate component selection and orders
  • Supervise the installation of CAN Bus‑based control and monitoring systems
  • Participate in commissioning and sea trials, troubleshoot bottlenecks and non‑conformities
  • Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations and technical standards
  • Stay current with marine systems technologies and regulatory updates
About You
  • At least 5 years technical experience in a marine or yacht‑building environment
  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering preferred
  • Familiarity with superyacht systems including hydraulics, PLCs, HVAC, and water makers
  • Exposure to high‑voltage DC (e.g., 650VDC) and hybrid propulsion systems is a strong advantage
  • Strong teamwork and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Clear communicator with solid technical documentation and coordination abilities
  • Adaptable, proactive, and solutions‑focused under pressure
  • Open to working overtime and responding to project needs dynamically
  • Comfortable in a multicultural, high‑performance setting
