Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) professional. The role involves managing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with technical standards, and conducting internal audits. Candidates should possess strong experience in quality auditing and decision-making capabilities. A technical qualification is preferred. Job description

Qualifications/Prior Experience:

• Previous experience in a senior QA position and/or technical qualifications
• Aware of quality auditing requirements.
• Experience with but not limited to IBL hygiene, SMETA, FFF, IBL ethical, H&S, QMS, Fire prevention requirements and administration.
• Experience of working within a small but very closely aligned senior team
• Flexibility of functions overlap is essential.

• Ensure all quality and ethical related audits are up to date with pass as a minimum
• Ensuring site compliance is adhered to and/or implemented. This could be the Landlord or the municipality
• Managing site peripheral functions – waste skip management for example.
• Ensure levels of hygiene inside and outside the facility are acceptable.
• Manage HACCP systems
• Ensure first aid and fire fighting trained staff are within minimum requirement spec.
• Working alongside other departments for continuous improvement plans.
• Shelf-life results, traceability and daily checklists are completed.
• Working closely with production to overlap QC with QA functions.
• Bring initiatives to the table.

• Ability to make decisions that suit the business best, not necessarily the individual first choice. Ability to compromise or justify accordingly.
