Job summary

An independent service provider of quality certification seeks to employ an Assistant Inspector in Durban. The role involves assisting supervisors to conduct inspections according to set protocols and ensuring compliance with company policies. Candidates should have a Matric qualification with knowledge or experience in perishable products. A valid drivers license is advantageous. Qualifications

• Experience of working in a team under supervision is desirable.
• Experience on regulative product sampling functions is desirable.
• Cold Chain Monitor experience is desirable.
• Basic Knowledge of Perishable Products Export Industry is desirable.
• Basic Knowledge of PPECB legislative Mandates is desirable.
• Basic knowledge regarding teamwork is desirable.

Main purpose of the job: Assist Inspectors and/Assessors to conduct inspections according to standard protocols and procedures as prescribed through PPECB's legislative mandate.

Responsibilities

• To assist in ensuring service delivery to internal and external clients in line with PPECB's legislative mandate, SLA's, MOU's and MOA's.
• To ensure PPECB's values are portrayed to enhance a culture of accountability.
• To ensure compliance to Human Resources policies and procedures.
• To ensure compliance to Financial policies and procedures.
