Job description

Over the last decade, Webrepublic has grown from an ambitious startup into Switzerland’s leading digital agency. More recently, Webrepublic has launched a subsidiary in South Africa to work hand-in-hand with our HQ in Switzerland. Our team in Cape Town has grown and we are now looking for a Talent Acquisition & HR Manager to expand our local presence into a large-scale operation.

In this pivotal role, as Talent Acquisition & HR Manager, you will be the driving force behind the growth of our Cape Town office and together with our General Manager being the guardian of our local company culture.

You will take full ownership of finding and hiring the best talent to expand our team, while ensuring a world-class employee experience for our existing staff. You will act as the on-the-ground expert for People & Organization (P&O) matters, working closely with our General Manager and actively supporting our global P&O team at our headquarters in Switzerland.

Key Mission

To identify and attract top-tier talent in Cape Town and build a superb employee journey—from the first interview to the final farewell—ensuring seamless alignment with our company culture.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Director People & Organization, your duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Talent Acquisition: Independently drive the end-to-end recruitment process for Cape Town, from active sourcing and interviewing to final hiring,
  • Onboarding & Culture: Design a seamless onboarding experience for new hires and champion initiatives that foster a positive, cohesive team culture,
  • People Operations: Manage the administrative employee lifecycle, including contract generation, data management, and offboarding,
  • Employee Support: Act as the trusted first point of contact for local staff queries and general P&O guidance,
  • Global Collaboration: Support the Swiss P&O team with international recruitment coordination and administrative projects.
Qualifications and Skills

As an ideal candidate, you must have the following:

  • at least 3–5 years of experience, with a strong focus on Recruitment/Talent Acquisition, ideally within an agency or a fast-paced internal HR team,
  • a relevant qualification (e.g., a diploma or degree in HR Management, Psychology, or a related field),
  • genuinely passionate about people, culture, and creating a great place to work,
  • comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and structuring your own day without constant supervision,
  • are organized and meticulous when it comes to contracts and data management,
  • a solid understanding of South African labour law (BCEA) regarding contracts and hiring practices,
  • proficiency in English (other languages are a plus).
What we offer

On our side, we offer...

  • a unique opportunity to build and shape the P&O function for our growing Cape Town office with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility,
  • the chance to be a key member of our close-knit Cape Town team while being fully integrated into the P&O structure of a leading Swiss marketing agency,
  • flat hierarchies and short decision paths, being part of a young, dynamic, and international team,
  • a vibrant office space in Cape Town and a flexible work environment (hybrid work),
  • a competitive compensation package.
