A leading retail company in South Africa is seeking a Studio Team Lead for Digital Product Data. This role involves managing a dedicated team responsible for eCommerce product content, including photography and data capturing. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in team leadership and managing digital product data, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The role is vital to ensuring high-quality output and collaboration across teams, focusing on customer engagement and operational excellence.
The Studio Team Lead – Digital Product Data is responsible for the effective management of the Digital Commerce Catalogue’s in-house content production Studio. This role involves leading a dedicated Studio team focused on eCommerce product photography, retouching, copywriting and data capturing. As a team, the Studio is accountable for delivering high‑quality visual and informational content for General Merchandise products featured and sold on our eCommerce channels (app & web).
In this role, you will collaborate closely with various business stakeholders, including Buyers, Merchandisers, Suppliers, as well as the broader Catalogue team, to coordinate and execute the seamless end‑to‑end process of digital enrichment.
The Studio Team Lead is responsible for managing the necessary people, processes, structures, and reporting frameworks needed to optimise Studio operations. You will be expected to propose & implement initiatives that drive continuous improvements while ensuring that high quality output is consistently delivered on‑time and meeting all Catalogue enrichment standards.
