Overview
Lycoderm is seeking a diligent Stock Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Accurately document, verify, and process incoming goods, ensuring proper invoicing, labeling, and quarantine allocation while maintaining a clean receiving area and updating relevant platforms
- File administrative documents and update pricing
- Monitor and follow up on purchase orders, ensuring timely placement, accurate recording of estimated arrival times, and updates to vendor and product details in internal databases
- Notify departments about delivery statuses and inventory quantities to maintain efficient order processing
- Oversee multiple storage areas, ensuring timely and accurate order picking, stock level maintenance, and compliance with ISO procedures, while keeping inventory records updated and areas clean
- Conduct regular stock checks, manage stock movement notes, and adhere to FIFO (first in, first out) principles, reporting any stock level issues to management
- Perform and log preventative maintenance, update schedules, and order replacement parts promptly to minimize equipment downtime
- Address equipment repairs quickly to ensure operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum – Matric certificate
- Advantageous – Certification in Inventory management or Supply Chain Operations
Experience
- Minimum – 2-3 years’ experience in Stock Control, Inventory Management or similar role
- Advantageous – Experience with Stock Forecasting, Reorder Processes, and Supplier Coordination is preferred

- Strong data entry and record-keeping skills with high accuracy
- Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Physical ability to handle goods and maintain clean storage areas
