A leading solutions provider in Johannesburg seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to promote and support UPS systems and power management solutions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to travel within South Africa and English-speaking Africa are essential. Develop, maintain, and strengthen a robust professional network with consultants, specifiers, engineering firms, and key clients throughout the region by prioritizing direct customer engagement through visits and face-to-face events.
Specify and promote UPS systems, transfer switching equipment, power control and monitoring products for new projects, as well as supporting existing installations.
Provide pre-sales technical advice, application support, and product selection guidance to key clients and consultants.
Collaborate with the regional sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities, follow tenders, and support commercial strategies.
Conduct training sessions and technical seminars for consultants and engineering partners.
Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and project pipelines to position the company's solutions strategically.
Ensure compliance with international and company standards while tailoring proposals to local market requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in specifying or promoting UPS, switchgear, or power management solutions.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and power management architectures.
Proven track record of managing specification activities in multiple countries or regions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (French is an advantage).
Able to travel within South Africa and English-speaking Africa (40% in South Africa and 30% abroad).
