What you will do

As a Service Operations Engineer within the Spare Parts business at Johnson Controls South Africa, you will play a key role in ensuring exceptional technical support and operational efficiency for our customers and internal teams. You will:

  • Provide telephonic and on-site technical support to customers regarding installation, application, and service-related issues
  • Manage and administer inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels
  • Oversee the regional ordering function, ensuring timely and efficient procurement of spare parts
  • Coordinate customer product deliveries, including shipping, receiving, and logistics activities
  • Train warehouse personnel on proper handling, storage, and operational procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational performance
How you will do it

You will succeed in this role by combining strong technical expertise with operational discipline and customer-focused communication. You will:

  • Diagnose customer issues effectively and provide clear, solution-oriented technical guidance
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with internal control standards
  • Collaborate closely with logistics, warehouse, and service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment
  • Monitor delivery timelines and proactively address any delays or operational bottlenecks
  • Deliver hands‑on training and coaching to warehouse staff to ensure safe and efficient handling practices
  • Apply structured problem-solving and analytical skills to improve service processes and customer satisfaction
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders through responsive and professional support
