We’re Hiring: Senior Technician | Operations – Technical Division

Are you an experienced technical professional ready to take ownership of installations, support, and training at scale?

We’re looking for a Senior Technician to join our Operations – Technical team in Modderfontein, Johannesburg.

Location: Modderfontein, Johannesburg
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08h00 – 17h00 (with occasional travel to other provinces)
Reporting To: Technical Support Manager
Department: Operations – Technical

Purpose

As a Senior Technician, you will perform all duties to the highest standard, protectingबा and promoting the company’s interests, reputation, and goodwill. Professionalism, neatness, and courteous conduct are essential, along with strict adherence to company policies and procedures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Training

  • Deliver ongoing technical and operational training to internal and external clients.
  • Train account managers, sales staff, and call centre teams.

Site Inspections

  • Conduct scheduled site inspections in line with company processes.
  • Complete and submit inspection reports within required timelines.

Installations

  • Lead installations following company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure devices meet minimum specification levels.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Manage onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks.
  • Ensure sites are left clean, safe, and compliant.
  • Liaise with technical colleagues and customers to ensure quality and safety.

Support

  • Provide advanced technical support services to clients and external technicians nationwide.
  • Assist outsourced technicians with complex issues.
  • Attend to site escalations and monitor multiple regional calls.
  • Document service and installation actions accurately.

General Duties

  • Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
  • Take responsibility for the overall well‑being of the vehicle, including boot stock.
  • Drive vehicles responsibly and in adherence to road regulations.
  • Ensure vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and servicing at correct intervals.
  • Maintain quality of tools and equipment.
  • Ensure job cards are signed by clients and submitted per company procedures.
  • Perform additional ad hoc duties as required by the business.
  • Manage spares and consumables received as boot stock, ensuring accountability.
  • Load correct spares onto the vehicle and replenish boot stock regularly.
  • Return damaged and used spares to stores.
  • Complete monthly boot stock counts.
  • Escalate unresolved installations or services to relevant managers.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety requirementsивает as per company procedure.
