Job summary

A leading technology company in South Africa is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to conduct site surveys, determine Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and oversee installations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Electronics/Computers Engineering or a related field, experience in Electronics and IT, and a valid driver's license. This role requires strong technical and management skills, with responsibilities extending to drafting and finalizing as-built drawings.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical layouts & designs.
  • Experienced in Electronics, IT & Computer Networks Environment.
  • Valid Driver's License.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in surveying sites, determining the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for installations, and overseeing the installation of conduit, cabling, and equipment in line with site specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys of various sites to assess installation requirements.
  • Determine the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for each installation.
  • Oversee the installation of conduit, cabling, and equipment as per site specifications.
  • Draft and finalize as-built drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Minimum Diploma in Electronics/Computers Engineering/IT Degree
  • Ability to read and interpret technical layouts & designs
  • Experienced in Electronics, IT & Computer Networks Environment
  • Ability to converse in English
