Role Context

The Digitalization Manager is responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives within the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region. This role involves developing and implementing digital strategies, managing digital projects, and fostering a culture of innovation. The Digitalization Manager will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, improving customer experiences, and supporting the organization’s strategic goals through digital solutions. Programming for dashboards and power platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Digital Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and implement the digital transformation strategy for the SSA region in alignment with global objectives.
    • Programming of solutions based on business requirements.
    • Conduct market analysis and assess digital trends to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
    • Collaborate with country, regional and global teams to ensure alignment of digital initiatives with business goals.
  2. Project Management
    • Lead and manage digitalization projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
    • Develop project plans, set milestones, and monitor progress to ensure successful implementation.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, operations, and finance, to achieve project objectives.
  3. Innovation and Continuous Improvement
    • Foster a culture of innovation by promoting the adoption of new technologies and digital tools.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Stay updated on emerging digital trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement
    • Engage with key stakeholders, including senior management, regional teams, and external partners, to drive digital initiatives.
    • Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and technology partners.
  5. Change Management
    • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of digital initiatives.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on new digital tools and processes.
    • Address resistance to change and provide support to teams during the transition to digital solutions.
  6. Data Analytics and Insights
    • Leverage data analytics to monitor and measure the impact of digital initiatives.
    • Generate insights and reports to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Ensure data integrity and security in all digital projects.
  7. Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure digital initiatives comply with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital projects, including cybersecurity threats and data privacy concerns.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or digital transformation are highly desirable.
  • Programming qualification.
