About the job: Senior Specialist: Business Analyst

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a similar environment, including 1 - 2 years at a junior specialist level
  • Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Technology, or Computer Sciences

Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert in the Aladdin enterprise platform, understanding its functionalities and workflows
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to understand their needs and ensure platform capabilities are fully utilized
  • Lead platform adoption across the front office, demonstrating its benefits and efficiencies
  • Support and enhance key workflows such as portfolio management, risk analytics, compliance monitoring, trade execution, data management, and performance reporting
  • Develop and deliver training programs for Aladdin users, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within Aladdin workflows, aligning with business objectives and regulatory standards
  • Engage with stakeholders including IT, risk management, compliance, and back-office teams to ensure cohesive platform usage
  • Gather user feedback and collaborate with BlackRock and internal IT teams to customize and improve the platform
  • Ensure platform use complies with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies
  • Lead change management initiatives related to Aladdin to ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption
