Senior Production Team Leader – Famous Brands

Introduction

To ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective production of the Sauce & Spice Plant products by ensuring that all products are produced and supplied to the customer at the required food safety quality standards and within a safe and pleasant work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support supervisors and escape breakdowns to maintenance and or production manager as per the escalation procedure.
  • Ensure stock issued out and received is captured correctly as per business requirements.
  • Ensure daily production targets are achieved and commentary available for variances.
  • Support supervisors and crew in achieving production targets.
  • Ensure waste accounted for accurately and commentary is provided for high wastage.
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained both inside and outside (back-of-house).
  • Plan and co-ordinate staff transport on night shift.
  • Ensure staff are allocated as per manning requirements from Production Manager.
  • Manage outsourced labour to the required manning levels and cost.
  • Conduct routine walkabouts to ensure housekeeping and GMP standards are complied with.
  • Communicate issues related to production, quality, staff and maintenance to Production Manager for support.
  • Ensure on-floor QC checks are done across all lines and support where necessary.
  • Management of HR and IR related matters.
  • Strictly enforce health and safety standards.
  • Support and implement Manufacturing Way initiatives.
  • Assist with the development of production SOPs and ensure the continuous review and improvement of the SOPs in line with the Manufacturing Way practices.
  • Perform general production administrative tasks.
  • Continuously review production processes and implement improvements as part of The Manufacturing Way social systems and forums.
  • Adhere to all company policies.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Production Management Diploma and / or Production-related degree will be an advantage.
  • GMP & HACCP Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes (5 S, Kanban, Kaizen).
  • Highly computer literate.
